On Monday, Dec. 18, an Amtrak train derailed in Washington, causing multiple fatalities. President Trump pledged during the 2016 campaign that he would work with Congress to pass a massive infrastructure bill to upgrade and maintain our railroads and highways. Will President Trump cite the Washington train derailment while talking about infrastructure?

For several years, experts have been warning that transportation infrastructure is overdue for maintenance (railroads, highways, bridges, etc…). On the day of this writing, an Amtrak train in Washington designed to travel at high speeds, derailed causing multiple fatalities. Will under-maintained be announced as the cause of the Washington Amtrak train derailment?
